On Thursday 1st March 2012, in the headquarters of the presidency of the University, an agreement was signed between Cadi Ayyad University Marrakech, represented by its President Mr. Abdellatif Miraoui and the Moroccan Industrial and Commercial Property Office (OMPIC) represented by its Managing Director Mr. Adil al Maliki and in the presence of officials from both institutions and some professors from the University.
Retirement of Mr. Mâalil Mohamed and the appointment of Mrs. Imane KERKEB Secretary General
In gratitude for the work he has done all along 31 years of service in Cadi Ayyad University, Mr. Mohamed MAALIL's retirement was celebrated in an official ceremony chaired by The President of the University, Mr. Abdellatif MIRAOUI and held in the presence of the two Vice Presidents and the acting Secretary General on Monday 2nd January 2012 in the meeting room of the Presidency.
This ceremony was also an opportunity to introduce Mrs. Imane KERKAB the new Secretary General to all the Presidency staff.
Excursions in the world of Chemistry and Materials
Professor Mostapha BOUSMINA, Chancellor of Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology of Morocco, gave a lecture under the theme: "Excursions in the world of Chemistry and Materials", on Friday 23rd December, 2011 at the faculty of Science Semlalia of Marrakech, the biography of the lecturer was presented as an introduction by the President of the University Mr. Abdellatif MIRAOUI. The Lecture took 2 hours and got very positive feedback from the many research professors and students who attended.
Visit of the Morocco-France-Spain Twinning experts to Cadi Ayyad University
The President of Cadi Ayyad University Mr.Abdellatif MIRAOUI, with the two Vice Presidents and the Secretary General held on Monday 12th December, 2011 at 9.00 a.m. in the headquarters of the presidency a work session with the French and Spanish Twinning experts.

First edition of the International Conference on Water and Environment
Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Cadi Ayyad University and the Skills Cluster Water and Environment (de Compétences Eau et Environnement (PC2E)) organize in collaboration with the University of Jordan and the German Water Partnership (GWP), the first edition of the International Conference on Water and Environment "WATEIC-2011" which will take place from 26th to 29th October 2011 in Marrakech.

Second Mediterranean Congress of Herpetology (CMH2)
Prof. Abdellatif Miraoui, President of Cadi Ayyad University inaugurated the Second Mediterranean Congress of Herpetology (CMH2), on Monday 23rd May, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the lecture hall 10 in the faculty of Science Semlalia, in the presence of Prof. M. Loudiki, Dean of the FSSM, Prof. ML. Sidmou Vice-President of UCA, Mr. J. Bloch, Director of the IFM, Mrs. L. Abouhaidar Cooperation Attaché of the IFM, Prof. T. Slimani Coordinator of the organizing committee, and Profs. Mr. El Elmoudden and M.Znari from the Moroccan community of Herpetology, attended by 150 participants from 29 countries on 5 continents, and the journalists who provided media coverage of the event.

Cadi Ayyad University in partnership with OMPIC organize an information session for research professors, PhD students and Master students on TISC network and the services provided by OMPIC in terms of invention patents.
